My Nightmare with Facebook Membership

    As I write this I’m waiting on a reply from the nearly non-existent customer service they have. After I first reported a hacker had gained my complete history on the internet through my face book membership. Information that I had posted as far back as 1998. Then used that history to ridicule and attempt to humiliate me into silence upon a mutual Face book group page we were on. In short this hacker was using my very personal and intimate data he had gotten through my face book account (somehow I don’t know how) and then tried to black mail me with it.

    This happened Saturday that just past.  When I saw it posted to a public open forum. I followed the Facebook rules and reported it. I followed their procedure to the letter.

    Their response??

    Sunday night my account was “disabled” by Facebook Inc and I was effectively BANNED from Facebook.  My only crime?? Well calling the hacker a few choice words in groups page which apparently tripped the so called automatic censorship and ban software on Facebook..

    My account has been disabled.. Which is their cute term for deleted.

    I’ve lost contact with over 160 good friends.

    And all the response I got from Facebook was one sentence response to my five letters of inquiry. “We’ll look into it.”

    Look into what? How you deleted my profile and friends list that took me 5 years to build?!  How you deleted personal and deeply sentimental photos in my Facebook albums that I had no other copy of ?   Of how you deleted six Social Cause Groups and Pages I ran with over 1000 members in total??  How you pitched five years of my life into the trash..

Because your freaking censorship software was tripped. When a HACKER invaded my life. ‘Trough your system’ and attempted to black mail me with it to silence my free speech on your system!

I’m TIRED of this.

This isn’t the first time! Either.. I went through the same exact thing in Feburary through April!  When my personal photos were involved!

It took Face book “customer service” 1 month and half before they even began to look into it?  Do you know what their response was?

“Oh if your offend simply block the person.. We find no fault. Yet have deleted the photos in question. The links to outside storage of your photos are not our concern.. You should  simply block the offender and move on.”

Let this be a warning folks!.

* Facebook has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE you can reach offline.
You can not reach them at all outside of cyber space and 1000s have tried.

Facebook does not care one iota if your personal data is compromised through their service. Effectively their response is you shouldn’t post it on the net in first place.

“But its your software linked to my other accounts on line that is giving hackers COMPLETE access to my data.!”

“So? You shouldn’t have posted it on the net in the first place.”



So tonight as I sit here and wait for Fu*# U Book. To investigate my case on their end.  I receive a letter saying.

“Do not make any account while your waiting on our investigation to complete. This is violation of our terms of service and your account may be permanently deleted.”

I’ve already lost 5 years of friends, 5 years of my life shared on line with good friends. .. I’ve already lost my social network base.. My and my community activst projects..

I’ve lost five years of data..

All because I screamed at a hacker that invaded my personal life.. Through FUCK U Book.. And attempted to black mail me.. 

And because of it.. My old profile was deleted by them.

I’ve made a Temporary New one in DIRECT violation of their TOS.

Let this be warning to you folks. If you’re a Facebook member you run a SERIOUS risk of your ENITRE (and I do mean entire) life on the net being easily accessed through Facebook’s software. Which apparently any hacker knows how to get in and out at WILL!

Facebook has NO Customer Service and NO outside way of contacting anyone at Facebook.  If your lucky to get someone.  It will take them over 2 months to respond to your concern. If at all!!

Tonight as I searched the web looking for any corporate office real time address for Facebook..
